no just no.the corralles fight was an excellent fight with diego showing big heart may he R.I.P. BUT, i believe the marquez fight was floyds best win/fight.
fnj and d.c were both on their way up.
the marquez fight was when both men were at the top and it was a pure masterclass...
diego n floyd were already top 2 in their div.
diego was a 6 ft monster JLW who was koing everyone.
that was floyd challenging himself and taking on the best.Comment

Manny dropped a weight drained weak Cotto at 145 who was already having trouble making 147. Floyd fought a string 154 pound Cotto. Big difference. Of course that would require you to look at facts and Manny's fans don't do that. Manny dropped Hatton in the 2nd round. What you fail to realize is that Floyd was the first person to ever knock Hatton out or down and he almost got dropped in the fight he had right before he fought Manny. Floyd took everything he had left out of him and that's why Manny and his camp took the fight because they knew he was done man. It's easy to say oh well Manny dropped such and such faster than Floyd did until you dig a little deeper and look at the facts.Comment

Corrales was not weight drained dummy. He had been fighting at Super Featherweight his entire career before he fought Floyd, so it wasn't like he was fighting at weight that he wasn't used to. Stop making stuff up man.Comment

It would be nice if what you were saying was trueMan, I'm sick of these TBE is better than Pac topics. It's been five years and the ducking continues. The biggest money fight of this generation is being ducked by a guy who calls himself Money. The guy who calls himself TBE ducks an easy fight. Grrrr.... when is this going to end?

You actually call what Maidana did being competitive ? He won like 4 rounds in the first fight and maybe 2 in the second fight. Floyd largely stayed off the ropes in the second fight. What fight were you watching ? Maidana actually landed 100 or so less punches in the second fight than he did in the first. Again, what fight were you watching ?What are you talking about man ? GGG is entirely too big for Floyd to even think about fighting man. You talking about Manny fought Margo as if Floyd hasn't fought anybody bigger than him. Most of the guys he fights are bigger than he is man. When he fought De La Hoya, he had to move up to 154 for the fight. You do know that was the first time in his career that he ever fought at that weight right ? Cannel was 15 pounds heavier than Floyd was on fight night. So was Maiden. You need to go back and do some research man because you clearly don't know what you're talking about.if Mayweather does not fight Pac and also ignores GGG when the time to talk about making that fight a possibility then to me his legacy as being TBE will just be a clever nickname he gave himself. He is one of the best to do it but you can't fight Maidana twice and then ignore Pac while also ignoring fighters at the higher weights that are calling you out. Hagler and Leonard status. Ali status. It's a lot to live up to, and you can't just sit back and say you did it all when there's a public demand. If you are finished then retire, there's no need in taking another Ortiz level fighter and throwing him into the limelight and selling him as a "solid" guy. Pac has already faced Margo at a higher weight, and has suffered defeat and a knockout. He has faced Bradley, and I believe will fight Garcia or anyone else in or around 140-147. I defended Floyd for a long time. I no longer buy into the whole idea that he does anything for the fans. That Cotto fight was just the result of Cotto being at his best and Mayweather being on the decline. That's how Maidana was able to be competitive. Floyd isn't choosing to fight a certain way to please anyone. He went right back out in the rematch against Maidana and held, moved out of range, rarely engaged, and went back to fighting safe and he still was getting caught up on the ropes. If you're done then just retire.Last edited by ToppDogg; 12-02-2014, 02:26 AM.Comment
