I didn't think the first fight was THAT close. I beliieve I had it 8 rounds to 4 for Mayweather. There's absolutely no way Maidana won 7 rounds in that fight. He put up a good performance, but it still wasn't good enough for a win. It was just a bad Mayweather performance, but even on his worst day Maidana still couldn't beat him.
Floyd had better not have that "bad performance" against Pacquiao.

Do you honestly think Mayweather is aligning himself with Haymon and Schaefer and making other significant changes to his camp for nothing?!

People are fools to believe Floyd is retiring after the Showtime deal is done.

Mayweather will fight well into his mid-40's.

Guy makes way too much money and makes it look way too easy.

True, I agree that the close rounds would go to Pacquiao. I think that's honestly one of the main reasons why Floyd is hesitant to face him. He thinks if it goes to a decision that he'll get robbed.

I enjoy watching Marquez, he's the perfect combination, technical and lets his hands go.

Floyd had better be on his game and leave nothing up for dispute.

If Maidana were Pacquiao he wins the first fight with Mayweather.
Like in the first Pacquiao/Bradley fight?

On the plus side, 2 days ago Roach said as far as Cotto's concerned the fight against Canelo is a done deal. Roach said Cotto is open to starting training camp December 7th, which means what???? Anybody???? If Cotto is starting training camp so early in December than the Canelo fight is going to happen earlier then May, rumor is 1st quarter which will more then likely be early March, which means that the only fight that could push Cotto-Canelo off a cinco de mayo weekend date has just hit the going to be made point. Roach expects an announcement before the holidays. These dates are significant because remember Cotto wants a full training camp with out sharing with Pac, fighting in early March or late February means Pac begins his training camp in March.

If what Roach said is true, This was the news I was waiting for. I posted before that the Date and not knowing if Mayweather-Pac is happening was more then likely slowing negotiations for Cotto-Canelo. For the FIRST time I believe Mayweather-Pac is a GO!!!!
