I can't believe they got 300k buys for a fluff opponent like Algeri. Jessie Vargas better think again if he thinks he has a shot. Manny is in the twilight of his career, he should only be fighting accomplished fighters so long as his ability to do so is still there.

The only thing that made Pac-Algeri a little entertaining was his trainer making an *ss of himself. Just like the only thing entertaining about Mayweather-Maidana II was when Maidana bit Floyd. Neither of those fights had any substance.

you have to consider pac and canelo fought nonames and cotto fought maravilla martinez for the MW title(making puerto rican history remember?)...
you can compare if cotto gets those ppv numbers vs the likes of delvin rodriguez, but there is a reason why that fight wasnt even a ppv..

I still ain't sold that they're willing to. All they're doing is barking more.. But it seems like other options have already been lined up

I was trolling. I know damn well Manny is a bigger draw than those guys but this is still a major drop off.

tbh the whole year was rough for boxing, that is why we need the big fights to get done as soon as possible...

Nah not when ur the number 1 paid athlete for consecutive years. Manny as far as money hasnt made close to what Floyd did. Manny made less vs Cotto than Floyd did fighting Victor Ortiz lmao.

u do realize even the 40 million with 35 percent is very close to 100 million guaranteed, so instead of 40 with 35 percent lets call it 100 million to 120 million for 1 fight.

Sources indicate close to 3 million ppv buys for that fight, maybe more. Set the bar at 2.5 at 100 bucks and ur already making 250 million, plus gate, closed circuit etc etc, youre at 300-350 million, on top of site fee, and a fight of this magnitude people will pay to be advertised.

So no offense but the offer made 4 months ago with absolutley no acknowledgment from team manny freddie koncz or bob, was more than generous.

Glazer is a moron but all indications from Arum saying Pacquiao is fighting Vegas next (What happend to the huge site fee?) to the 24/7 only having 1 episode point to this card bombing hard.

Glad to see the fans vote with their wallet.

Arum has done a great job at destroying Pacquiao's drawing power with meaningless fights with garbage under cards.
