Mayweather beats Pacquiao if he fights him and wins. Until then it's anybody's fight and Pacquiao has a good chance to beat Mayweather. Marquez doesn't want Pacquiao beating Mayweather because he was so easily and completely dominated by Mayweather when they fought. A Pacquiao win over Mayweather would make Pacquiao look like a better all around fighter than Marquez. Pacquiao already showed he often handles other good fighters easier than Marquez as he did when he beat Bradley shortly after Marquez lost to Bradley. Old age is hurting the older Marquez's fight

Old age is hurting the older Marquez's fighting ability much more than it is the younger Pacquiao and Pacquiao would probably win if he fought Marquez a fifth time.

From 135 to a catch weight of 144. Eating tacos and throwing stones as a physical training to bulk up.. Then finding out at the weigh in that Floyd comes in at 147. Marquez was pudgy and small during that fight..

But he's been true to his word that he felt that Floyd was the best boxer in the world. Also I feel he gets a kick knowing he's fought the man that Pac can't get in the ring with..
He realized that it wouldn't have mattered, weight or whatever. He was simply outclassed by a near-prime Mayweather whose boxing was outstanding on that night. So much so that even after they KO'ed Pacquiao, Team Marquez openly stated that they had no interest in a Mayweather rematch.

I rewatched Mayweather-Maidana 2 again and in spite of Mayweather's advanced age, I still think he can outbox Pacquiao using his length from the outside and probably catching him with some very hard counters. I could see Floyd getting tagged as well but it's been a long time since Manny ate clean shots from a full-fledged welter like Floyd. And Floyd will set him up for some sharp ones. Those punches will feel harder than what people are anticipating going in. Mayweather wins a decisive decision but throw in the motivation of putting a dagger throug h the hearts of Arum and critics alike and a stoppage win for Mayweather isn't out of the question here.

it's about stepping in the ring and proving it...lately, both Marquez and Mayweather are scared and comfy in just having 'war talks'.

              No Marquez you're wrong.

If you were to look for a style that would beat Mayweather it would have to be Pacquiao's.
Someone with speed, heavy handed, great stamina, throws 100 punches per round, keeps coming forward, throws from different angles, and is a southpaw.

There is a reason Mayweather to this day wants no part of Pacquiao. Going as far as firing anyone who even mentions Pacquiao.

Then why does he still refuse to fight him?

This is why the fight is so baffling, why doesn't Floyd take the fight? Many fighters and fans including myself felt it would have been an easy big money fight.

Why did Floyd wait so long? It makes no sense at all, this why I started thinking Floyd was ducking Pac because he seen something in him, and I now know what that was, if Floyd takes the fight now its because he finally feels Pac only key to having a chance against him is gone which is his foot movement, I doubt Floyd was scared of the power, Maidana hits harder, what he was scared of was the foot work which is hard to time and would make Floyd really cautious of letting his shots go for fear of being countered.

Floyd right now his right hand is too dominate, if he loses to a slow footed Pac who is still fast compared to other fighters on his feet but nothing compared to 2009 Pac, I think its safe to say Floyd is a fraud, if he loses to Pac. I talked to plenty of Mayweather fans for the past several years and each one said Pac is not on Floyds level and he is a bum with no skills, I dont see Floyd losing to a bum with no skills if he does that means he was overrated and exposed. How can someone loses to a bum with no skills and be called great?

I just don't see Floyd losing at this stage, he only has to back step and throw his long right hand and roll out, similar to how he fought hatton, and its over.

Pac doesn't pressure fight or smother guys lots of punches which is the only style that really gives Floyd trouble. Pac fights in sports and has to jump in to hit a taller longer opponent and it leaves him open to counter rights.

Guys like Margarito would have probably beat Mayweather after seeing how Floyd struggled with Maidana who smothers and backs off, Margarito was non stop and had a chin of stone and threw so many punches to your arms, shoulders, non stop and walked you down over and over.

I hope Floyd takes the fight, If he does I will bet him to win, either by TKO in the later rounds or wide UD.

Pac didn't even do this again Algieri and don't u know that Floyds counters lowers the output of EVERY fighter he fights?

It's Sunday. Could you cut it out for once? He has never refused.
