The reason boxing fans don't want to see a Mayweather - Cotto rematch is because there's no reason for it. Mayweather beat him clearly and by a wide margin in the first fight, Cotto had no answers, and nothing has changed.

In boxing, rematches happen when

A. A decision was controversial.
B. It was a close fight.

Mayweather - Cotto is none of the above. This fight does not warrant a rematch.

Mayweather might want the fight because he likes to avoid the best and take the low risk fights, but that doesn't mean people are going to buy it.

You might want the rematch because you're a **** swallowing groupie, but Floyd worshiping ****sexuals represent a very small minority of the boxing crowd.

Once Mayweather and Pacquiao fight, if they fight, and Mayweather wins, the casuals will be like, Okay, on to the next, who can beat Mayweather, then the marketers come to market someone. Gennady Golovkin, a talented fighter and one of my absolute favorites. Casuals want Mayweather and Pacquiao to fight because they think he is somebody that can beat Mayweather. I don't think he can. It's either Golovkin or it is nobody. If Mayweather ever gets a 1 on his record, it will be at the hands of Gennady Golovkin.
