Couple of things.

What's in it for them?

Why would Floyd let a third party get involved? He already has to pay up some one 27% of his guaranteed purse.

This UAE Group obviously have financial interest in the fight. They want a big piece of the pie, and to get a big piece of the pie, they have to invest a ****load of money into it, which is what they're doing. I'm sure Floyd can make $110 Million from this fight, and more, without this group. I'm sure we have many financial analyst, economists, and accountants that will disagree but in the end, Floyd would actually be pretty dumb if he takes their offer.

Some people just like to flaunt their wealth and put their name out there. Qatar bought the 2022 World Cup even though it will cause them to lose a significant amount of money and have stadiums that will go to waste.

I don't believe any fighter is scared. Floyd tried to fight Manny twice already while Manny has not tried to fight him aside for calling him out after Algieri.

The most wacked part of the deal is announcing Floydie's company as lead promoter. They JUST got their license, and would be a clown act trying to be lead in an event of this size. Doesn't matter the size or money of a promotion company, NONE of them start out with an event this big. You steadily work your way up to hopefully a huge event. As for the rest of it, sounds like even more b.s. NO promotion company says - we have alotta money - in a press release type statement... or in any other way. While this fairy tale would be a great fight to watch, it isn't happening IMO with Floydie's bwaaaays in the lead promoter seat.

There have always been investment groups interested. Some heavy hitters have gone public with their interest now that hype for the fight is back near 2009 levels.

There was even one investment group, Falcon Hawk entertainment interested in making the fight happen and even managing member Roger Mayweather was unable to convince Floyd to get on board.

I think Slick_Rick's point is this is one phony azz sounding 'group'.

On another site - there is a interview with Sam Watson stating that this is the fight Floyd wants and they should be announcing something very soon - it's a video interview

of course its the fight floyd wants this will be the 5th time he tried to make it but for some reason the media ignores that floyd has sent manny 4 contracts all turned down for different reasons the first time being drug tests.
