World Boxing Organization light flyweight champion Donnie “Ahas” Nietes paid a courtesy call on Ms. Laure Elorde, widow of the late, great world junior lightweight champion Gabriel “Flash” Elorde at her home on Sucat Road, Paranaque on Thursday.
Nietes and IBF Intercontinental super bantamweight champion Prince Albert Pagara and light flyweight title contender Milan Melindo who all won their bouts on “Pinoy Pride XXVIII” at the Waterfront Hotel and Casino last Saturday, each carried a bouquet of flowers and handed them over to the matriarch of the respected Elorde clan before they sat down for afternoon snacks marked by an insightful exchange between Ms. Elorde and Nietes.
