Comments Thread For: Fortune: Viktor Postol Will Beat Danny Garcia

Strength and conditioning coach Justin Fortune, who works side by side with trainer Freddie Roach at the Wild Card Gym in Hollywood, is very impressived with the boxing talents of undefeated junior welterweight Viktor Postol (26-0, 11KOs) of Ukraine.

Postol is the mandatory challenger to WBC/WBA champion Danny Garcia.

The World Boxing Council ordered the two of them to fight and scheduled a purse bid date, but Postol was paid a step-aside fee and their purse bid was postponed until next year.

Dang, getting paid a step aside fee and most likely fighting for a vacant belt

All this bull**** chatter after accepting a step aside fee not to fight! This fight will never happen! Danny is moving up unless he faces Manny. The guy has a chance to face Danny & he throws it away!

Yes, it's a safe bet some people will start saying "the light welterweight division is weak".
