WBA cruiserweight champion and TBRB #3 rated 200lber Denis Lebedev (26-2, 20 KOs) will fight next on March 28 in Moscow, Russia, against an opponent to be named later.

“I’ve met with Mr. Ryabinskiy, and we agreed to tentatively set the March date for my next fight. I don’t know the date for sure but it’ll be within the same card with (WBC cruiserweight champion) Grigory Drozd I suppose”, commented Lebedev to Sportbox.ru.

Yea, but by March it'll be about 6 months. Before his last one it was 1.5 years. He doesn't need to be like Hernandez and fight only once a year.

Another way to look at it, if he fought in mid December it would have been another easy defense. Now at least we can expect a good fight.

Hernandez and Huck won't fight because they share the same awful trainer and Lebedev and Drozd supposedly don't want to figh either because they're kompatriot.

yeah I know, it is frustrating. Lebedev-Huck rematch would be good though, felt Lebedev actually deserved the decision in the first clash. Luckily there are a number of contenders who are at least only slightly less quality than the champs, therefore there are a lot of competitive fights out there
