Klimov won every round on my card, looking good when he sat down on his punches and pushed Cota back. Could've stopped him but seemed content to stay in the lower gears and box his way to victory, Cota's body left untouched.

Mekhontsev seems to be figuring out Vegas in the opening round, threw a few left hands but mainly boxing him with the jab. Mickey Rourke is in the building.

Mekhontsev wants to keep this on the outside, he's tying Vegas up when he gets in. Throwing his left more freely now but still tentative, both men land some good shots.

Mekhontsev starts the round off like a curious cat that's encountered an armadillo, Vegas is covered up whilst Mekhontsev paws out the right jab looking for an opening. He manages to manoeuvre Vegas onto the ropes and unloads with a few 1-2 combinations, Vegas not in trouble though.

Is it safe to say that Rourke will win his fight?

Vegas has had his right hand glued to the side of his face since the start of the fight, Mekhontsev gets him on the ropes a couple more times but Vegas is doing well at defending. Most of the punches are caught on the gloves and arms but a couple sneak threw. Vegas has also landed a couple decent shots against Mekhontsev, although ze Russian is certainly in control.

The only time Mekhontsev is having any real success is when he can manoeuvre Vegas onto the ropes where he unloads 1-2s. At the end of the round the camera pans onto Susan Boyle, wait... that's Denis Lebedev.

Mekhontsev catches Vegas with a sharp jab at the start of 6 but the rest of the round plays out much like the prior rounds. Vegas not offering many openings but looking poised to counter what Mekhontsev has to throw, the Russian happy to control with his jab.
