Lee has no form at all. He has regressed significantly since Steward's passing.

He has very good punching technique, excellent at times. But he has no defence, slow footwork, and a bad gas tank. If an opponent pressures him he looks terrible. If an opponent chooses to trade at mid to long distance he's dangerous. He needs opponents to be worried about his power, otherwise he's just looking for a hail mary shot.

I like what I've seen from Matvey against Edwards, Findley, Latiff Mundy, and Ossie Duran, he knows how to control fights it's just that he doesn't look to finish which is disappointing because he has power. He's at his best when he's got a live opponent to push him. I'm still not sure about whether he has any health problems. I didn't realize until I rewatched the Edwards fight, but he got sick immediately after the fight. It might be more mental that physical idk.

But he certainly puts in the training so that his stamina should be solid.

Andy ain't getting much love on the Poll which is kinda surprising given that Korobov just isn't that highly touted a fighter.

Korobov is definitely the more technically polished fighter, but I woulda thought at least a few people would have voted for the punchers' KO (though that said, Korobov likely punches harder than Andy as well, so...?)

TBH I'm not massively excited by this fight, Quillin vs Korobov would have been far more interesting and, at least potentially, quite competitive. Fights for vacant belts are generally something of a letdown and this one doesn't really buck the trend.

Andy's looked absolutely horrible at times. They served him up Craig McKewan for his HBO debut and he was getting completely outboxed in that fight before he bailed himself out with a big punch. And more recently he's struggled badly with Fitzgerald, Hafner, and Jackson. It's scary to think he nearly fought Golovkin last April.

If someone gave me decent odds I would take Lee.

Adam Booth as a trainer is a big step down from Manny Steward.

Shutout for Korobov. Andy Lee does not deserve this title shot. It is too bad that Quillin, Andrade, and Saunders all ducked Korobov.

Korobov didn't look very impressive against Uzcategui. He looked sloppy slow and not very motivated. If that same guy shows up against Andy Lee I say he's got a good chance to win. Don't sleep on Andy Lee.

I think he regressed because he was fighting the same level of opposition in 2012 and 2013 as he was in 2009.

He looked very good in his early pro fights, but I think they should have moved him up much faster, considering his extensive amateur experience.

I have to believe Lee will rise to the occasion on this one. This is his last chance at a world title, outside of being used as a tuneup for King Golovkin down the road.

Rolling with my boy Lee. **** it. Always liked the dude.
