Pacquiao, if you are reading this, JUST FIGHT BARRERA NOW! Call this man on his bluff, he doesn't want to fight you. Take it to him and walk this man down. True, there is a risk in fighting so many big fights in one year, but trust me, this man CANNOT beat you! Here are your incentives:
1. WBC/IBF Super Featherweight titles, if you win these belts, you will be a 4 time World Champion. A very incredible feat.
2. After beating Barrera twice, this time without any excuses, you will put yourself ahead of all the great Mexican champions of your generation.
3. The money, besides Morales, where else can you make the really big dollars?
4. Beating Barrera again will give you a really good case for being pound for pound the best in the world, especially if you knock him out again.
5. Beating Morales (perhaps twice) and Barrera in the same year makes you an automatic lock for Ring Magazine Fighter of the Year.
Retrospectively, I believe Pacquiao should fight Marco Antonio Barrera again, because Pacquiao cannot lose this fight barring some unforseen occurrence. On a side note, if you missed the replays of Toney/Jirov and Rahman/Lewis I (like me), they will be replaying it on the 17 at 11:30 PM on HBO2. Another treat HBO will feed you is Mayweather/Corrales replay on 4/3. Tune in all you fellow Boxing librarians. -Ryan ********
