Pac has poor defense, once Maidana finds him it's going to be a bad night for Manny, Pac will land on him early but Maidana would adjust and set traps and bait Manny into savage knockdowns with crisp hooks, he will take 4 to land 2 like Margarito but he has better defense and less conditioning.

I must have missed the fight where Kotelnik easily beat Maidana, i scored that 7-5 Maidana. Also missed this fight where Khan soundly beat him. I seem to remember Maidana winning 5 or 6 rounds and battering Khan in the last 3.

Maidana vs 2009 Pacman gets beat, now in 2015 its a competitive fight where Maidana would be dangerous in every round.

If Maidana can use good defense, i.e. avoid most of Pacquiao's punches -- and take his power without giving in -- it would be a long night for Manny. It would be an interesting match up. Manny would need to bring the heat to keep a guy like Chino off of him... also Pac would need to be in the best conditioning ever. Go to the body early and slow down that brawler.

It would be a hell of a war, that's for sure. Too bad Pacquiao will face off with the Algieris and Vargas' of the world instead of guys like Maidana, Matthysse, Thurman, Brook, Khan, Garcia, ect.

Maidana has been known to duck challenges, but now with "The Blueprint" Maidana back to take names, Manny has nowhere to hide. He can immediately retire, or get killed my a hungry lion in Maidana.
