Algiere has boxing ability, but he ran a lot last night, Pac really impressed me because Algiere kept turning and turning him and against 90% of the field he would have had success. To be able to catch a defensive runner is pretty impressive - now you cannot compare that to floyd because the thing with Floyd is he knows how to hold them and fold them. ..basically when to use his legs - when to engage - etc... Algiere is not that advanced yet with only 20 fights but Algiere showed his conditioning because 1) he kept gwtting up and 2) he was able to ahake it off which really impressed me..

algieri is fragile, everytime pacquiao hit him clean he was hurt and just about ready to fold, the problem was pacquiao wasn't landing much

roach and pacquiao piss me off with their neglect of the bodyshots, this could have been a simple KO

I think Algieri showed some heart by getting up, especially after the 9th round.

But he is limited as a boxer, and that is not just because his trainer is clearly an idiot.

He has now power whatsoever, a reasonable jab, good movement (which takes him nowhere) and I was surprised at how bad technically his hooks / upper cuts were (very wild and off balance).

Just because he looks pretty and talks a good game doesn't mean a thing.

He had a great payday, he should retire and concentrate on his academic career.

For me he brings very little (apart from BS) to boxing at the top level.

there's no denying algieri is not a quitter but lets not act like he got clocked hard or something. most of the punches manny landed on him was glazing punches. none of them landed flush except for the real knock down but even then manny was reaching and lunging in.
