What is it with British referees?

This is no disrespect coz honestly I think it's something that annoys UK fight fans like everyone else.

Why do they stop fights early? Too many fights to list.....

Is it a British board of control thing? Just interested

Or maybe they are right? do US Refs let fights go on too long?

The Periban stoppage was a joke. It was if the referee didn't want him to get up.

Kinda why I started this topic, it's a long list of this happening.

They're biased, corrupt ****wads. I don't see how it's even a question, either, if they were simply trying to protect fighters than Cleverly would have been stopped when he spent entire rounds on the ropes doing nothing.

I think sometimes US refs let it go on too long.
Whilst I'd agree some stoppages are earlier I can very rarely see an outcome besides the one that happens.
I'd like to see statistics of fighters who come from behind to win.
Of course it's easy to remember these as they are so rare but the actual evidence probably supports early stoppages.
I also think more should be done when a fighter is losing so badly like Lacy, Hopkins or Algeri. No point in the last few rounds, that's probably an unpopular opinion

as I said last night, the british board of boxing is so good in so many different areas, especially the health and safety of fighters but the refereeing is sub par. And it's mainly the top 3 or 4 names in British refereeing that are the major problem.
