Is Anthony Joshua the best HW prospect we've seen in years?

Can't remember a prospect in the HW division this good for so long. I remember the hype behind guys like Michael Grant and more recently, David Price but theirs something about Joshua, that makes me feel like he's the real deal. He's only had 10 fights and theirs no rush but if he fought guys like Wilder or Fury tomorrow, I actually think he would destroy them. The only guy I'd pick to beat him at this stage of his career is Wlad and that's high praise. Of course ill eat my words if he gets derailed but I really believe he can bring HW boxing back to the mainstream.

    Your opinions?

I think he's easily one of the best prospects we've seen in years. Don't remember a talent coming through that was on this level, certainly not the likes of Price, Fury, Wilder, Jennings etc.

None of those guys have what it takes to be a proper dominant world champion, Joshua does.

He hasn't fought anybody who hasn't just stood infront of him or ran straight at him. Put him in there with Odlanier Solis or David Haye and lets see if he can keep up without losing his defense. Tyson Fury/Odlanier Solis/David Haye/Tony Thompson are in my opinion his real legitimate tests. Forget Wlad, if he gets dominated or taken out by Odlanier Solis or David Haye he would've lasted 5rounds with Wlad. Tyson Fury is also stylistically very dangerous for this guy, he's never fought a guy with Fury's jab and Fury's decent inside game on top of that. This is becoming a dangerous heavyweight division again with some seriously dangerous fighters.

This is thanks to his promoter Eddie Hearn. Fury is the best prospect in heavyweight division since a young Klitschko

You can't say with any real accuracy yet.

Personally I don't think he will ever be the next Klitschko.

He will certainly do well and I think win a title at some point.

I would be more wary about him becoming a dominant champion but I admit, he is a hit prospect.

            Fundamental skills (unlike Wilder)
            Physically very impressive.

lol this is interesting. So you can't be a great talent unless you can overcome guys like Haye and Fury 10 fights in? GTOH with that bs, also Solis and Thompson are in a completely different league to Haye and Fury, and not better.

Also, your triangle theory makes no sense at all.

Unless you mean Hughie Fury, then you must have been smoking some good stuff.

Luckily, Joshua looks like an actual aggressive, entertaining heavyweight who doesn't just stick out a stinking jab.

It would be a shame if he ended up like Klitschko. Fighting wise.

So far so good for Joshua, but that's all it is. He's had just 10 fights and none against anybody who has the skills to defend his punches and fire back themselves. We haven't seen his chin really tested yet, haven't seen his stamina down the stretch of a long fight. There's a lot that needs to be tested first.

He is a very good prospect but many others have been. Don't forget that a few years ago people were talking about David Price like this, saying Fury was running for him. Then Price runs into Tony Thompson and now barely anybody remembers he still exists.

He's coming along nicely and does have potential but that's all it is right now. They don't want to throw him in the deep end because of the hype.

I don't think that will be the case, Joshua listens to the fans and he always cites Mike Tyson as his favorite fighter.
