Algieri actually would have a chance against most top 10 contenders. I doubt he'll hold onto his belt long, but he does have some ability and talent.

The problem for him today was just that Manny is just a special fighter, one of the top three or four of our generation. Algieri did what he could, but he just didn't have the firepower and skill necessary to truly compete with (let alone beat) the Filipino icon.

Not sure I agree with you there, Broner is an idiot, but I think he has a better chin than Algeri, don't forget Maidana was the bigger fighter knocking down Broner, and Pac was the lighter smaller fighter knocking down Algeri.
