Like I said in other posts, its all smoke and mirrors.
Maidana was nowhere on the map until he beat Broner. What is legit about that? Before that he lost badly to Devon and had trouble with others.
Then add the fact that Maidana wasn't wearing his punchers gloves so you scratch that fight right off the freaking map. Sorry Floyd! What was the point of that fight if Maidana can't wear his gloves? Disgraceful!

Sorry but to say that Algieri did nothing even though he holds a 140 belt yet from the other side some of you are saying but Maidana beat Broner at 147 ..... sorry but that is not a good argument.

Guerrero: Floyd actually said the year before the fight "I really don't know who Guerrero is". Floyd also laughed at Guerrero's resume prior to their fight.

Again, I already stated that Algieri was not someone that I was happy about but Floyd fans can't say the same when it comes to Floyd's opponents. Its all smoke and mirrors.
But the level where these guys were fighting was way higher than Algieris. Maidana had a career long before the Broner fight. It was a solid win, much like the Provo in for algieri.

WBO title? "peeleft: I do not give a damn about titles. The skill level of a fighter and the level of opposition is more of import. The fact is, That Algieri had fought no one before the pac fight. At leat compering Guerrero and Maidana.

Apples and oranges. Pacquiao and Mayweather need to fight each other, and nobody else. End of story.

Boom! Another Floyd whiner staying salty.

Some Floyd lovers here says Pac should have finished him off even if Pac did so many Knock downs on Algieri, While his arch nemesis Floydy hasn't dropped or Ko'd anyone for along long time now.

        Stay salty Floyd lovers haha!

And just to clarify, Im not defendin Floyd. Im making case for these other guys, who have had solid and long careers, and they deserve respect.. I do not give a **** about this war going on with Floyd and pac fans. Eventough it is entertaining.

And Khan is really a really, really good fighter. Definitely elite. I do not get the hate he is getting. He fights everybody. Win or lose. Usually a win.

            2 Points....

1 Maidana isn't SRL but he is WAY more accomplished than Algieri. Also, with Madana and Algieris styles being so different I think its tough to compare the two.

2 Ive been watching boxing since 83. The scores in pac/alg were the most lopsided ive seen ever. I mean EVER. Wow. I cant think of any worse. Can anyone?

Agree except for the khan part. No way is he an elite fighter but yeah the problem that a lot of people at times forget before a floyd and manny fight is that even though they are not prime anymore, they are ATG's that are a class above practically everyone else between 140-147. Would khan have been a better opponent then algieri? Absolutely. Would the outcome have changed? No. We would have got a better fight but the outcome would have been roughly the same or probably worse, no way would khan have continued .

I have to disagree. Khan is very good opponent for Pac and Floyd. He is fats, strong, big and a good puncher. If he composes himself he doesn't run to the punches LOL. He has better chances than most, I think. His speed alone would trouble both. Algieri would get schooled by Khan prob as much as against pacman.

I do believe he is elite. He will win a lopsided decision against Alexander.

I'll give Algieri some credit, even thought he was greatly outclassed, he hung in ther and never gave up. I think he is going to give a lot of people around the JWW and the WW division, problems.

There was a couple of times I laughed my @$$ during the fight. The first time was when Algieri's corner was saying that they were going to him out of the cage and put Pac to sleep, then BOOM, Algieri went don from a big shot. The other funny time was at the end, when they were interviewing Pac, and they asked him if he wanted Floyd. Pac did the Foot Locker ad routine and I busted up. lol
Agreed. Pac and may are a class above all others.

That said more so with Pac, he lights it up. They just in a different league.

Pac didn't even go 3rd gear on this one, only elite fighters will push him to 5th gear. That said. Floyd where you at? Pac just called you out? He says your a pussay. Now what?

He and his team were in over their head. Listening to them talk in the weeks leading up to the bout, I kept getting reminded of what Mayweather told Ortiz. "It's different at this level." Nothing Algieri's team had done before prepared them for this stage. He was one fight away from being on ESPN. And to top it off, he was facing a Pacquiao who was so many leagues above him, he coulda spent his time in Macau partying like Tyson in Tokyo and still woulda beat Algieri down.
