Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach has been verbally swinging at Chris Algieri all week. Later tonight in Macau, Roach's fighter Manny Pacquiao will defend his WBO welterweight championship against Algieri at a catch-weight of 144-pounds.

Back in June, Algieri survived two knockdowns and a swollen eye to win an upset twelve round decision over Ruslan Provodnikov to capture the WBO junior welterweight title.

PPV has wrecked boxing, boxing used to be a mainstream sport back in the days of television and wide world of sports. almost everyone knew who the top boxers were, champion or not. That's not the case these days, I watch every big fight and I have never purchased a PPV and never will. Streams galore out their for all PPV's from boxing, mma, wrestling ect, ect. I will watch this one also even though Pac is fighting a virtual amateur comparatively speaking, back in the old days we boxing fans even knew of the up and coming amateurs before they ever made the Olympics or turned pro.

Can anyone here name even a couple top amateurs who may make the next summer Olympics.??
