Only thing I saw was Algieri losing the staredown within a second or two by laughing. Is it common place for letting the other opponent to try to lose the extra weight to make the limit at weigh ins? If so I think I agree with Hectari because I doubt Algieri would have that much trouble making 144. I think Algieri thinks he can fool Roach into believing he's very weak and drained. I doubt it plays out in Chris's favor though.

Yeah, you get 2 hours to lose to weight and now it's reported that Algieri made it just fine. More of a hassle for him in this case. Other times it can put the fight in jeopardy, where last minute concessions or arrangements can be made to let the fight go thru.

The last time I can remember a fighter missing weight, refusing to attempt to lose the weight, and then having the opponents team refuse to go forward was Castillo-Corrales III.

Algieri was on weight, and knew that he was on weight; when most other fighters (outside of maybe Floyd Mayweather Jr) are in plastic suits and going on four days without a formal meal, Algieri showed that he was still having normal breakfasts.

Chris Algieri forgot to take a dump this morning off of last night's dinner (maybe even just a long piss); about what it'd take to lose that half a pound.
