The latest Savarese Boxing Promotions card showcases a tall order in the form of a towering inferno from South Africa tonight at the Bayou City Events Center in Houston. Heavyweight Ruann Visser (1-0, 1 KO), a six-foot-ten, flaming red-head from Johannesburg will take on William Durham (0-1).
Visser, 24, moved to Texas earlier this year to train under Juan Lopez after compiling a record of 16-0 as an amateur. He scored a first-round TKO in his July pro debut during which he brought scores of fun-loving, beer-chugging South African expatriates from out of the Houston woodwork.
