I would like to believe so. But Jones seems too gun shy now. Maybe it would be different against a guy like Calzaghe though because hes a different style than Tarver.
Theoretically...yes. If Jones came ultra prepared for the fight....and it happened on U.S. soil.
IMO...No. Because Tarver's victories over Jones are worthless...he's washed up and weight drained, no different in Calzaghe's case having beaten a has been.
Roy is shot mentally. He doesnt have the edge hes to worried about getting cracked again. He needs to get the idea in his head Joe C cant hurt him and will not touch him. Roys speed is still there not his prime but still there.
I dont think the fight will happen. But if it does GL to Roy.
What I want to know, because I only saw Calzaghe fight once, does Calzaghe have the power to hurt roy? If not, Roy's going to have a field day, and give off the illusion that he still "has it".

If he had the power to floor Chris Eubank (the first guy ever to do it and something far more impressive than Lacy's display of power against Robin Reid), then believe me - he has the power to hurt Jones.
However, he doesn't have the power to hurt Jones if the fight takes place at Jones' preferred weight of 168 because Calzaghe is just ****ing killing himself to make 168 these days.. he's been so weight-drained in recent years and it's taken his power away.
