why do people keep bringing up the ko's like thats the only way to win fights?

Its boxing, leaving the other guy unconcious on the canvas is kind of a big deal. A guy with a high KO rate is extra dangerous, he's got an extra % of leaving you flat in spite of superior boxing skill.
