This sounds reasonable! Cotto arguing for 75% os just dumb. He should come out anf just say he doesn't want to fight, why get our hopes up.

He may be biased but he does have phone conversations with Arum. He has no agenda with Canelo or Cotto. His agenda is simple, Bash Pacquiao, and Glorify Mayweather.

Intresting how cotto doesn't see a problem fighting in Dallas.

7million was also Cottos guarantee and doesn't reflect PPV either.

exactly both guarantees didnt mean a thing when both ppvs did about the same,
canelo had similar numbers vs angulo and a guarantee of 1.2 mil, but he made somewhere from 8 to 10 mil...

I don't think this is happening because of that and Cotto's ridiculous Demands. May 2nd is Mayweather's date.

It's called negotiating. Do you really think Cotto thinks he's going to get 75-25 against Canelo? It's a way of signalling to GBP that he considers himself the A-side and GBP will not be allowed to dictate terms. I wouldn't be surprised if the split was between 60-40 and 55-45 in favor of Cotto when all is said and done. I also expect that the fight will be signed and announced as early as next week if Pac looses on Saturday. If Pac wins and the Mayweather-Pac negotiation rumors persist, I expect the announcement would be delayed. This would be a good indicator though because if HBO truly believed the Mayweather-Pac fight was happening they wouldn't pick up Cotto-Canelo.
