  • Arthur Abraham vs Felix Sturm

would be a good fight, i think sturm takes it on points, arthur i guess already beat up shannon taylor and on boxrec looks like he is fighting on 5-13-06, wonder if sturm will take that spot or maybe at a bit later date

I think Felix Sturm is overrated and cannot compete with the current top middleweights. He hasn't proved himself yet. Lets compare Arthur Abraham's fights with Sturms.

      Felix Sturm
      (25-1-0 11KOs)
      1. Hector Javier Velazco by Split Decision
      2. Bert Schenk by KO
      3. Robert Frazier by Unanimous Decision

      Arthur Abraham
      (20-0-0 17KOs)
      1. Hector Javier Velazco by KO
      2. Ian Gardner by Unanimous Decision
      3. Howard Eastman by Unanimous Decision
      4. Kingsley Ikeke by KO
      5. Nader Hamdan by TKO

Overall I think Arthur Abraham has fought better fighters than has Felix Sturm. If Felix Sturm wants to claim he is a champion, he must first prove himself and second beat Jermaine Taylor. He was offered a chance to fight with Arthur Abraham for 1.2mil but he has said a word.

Sturm by UD win. Sturm is a good boxer & I don't see Abraham winning this.

I have not gotten a chance to see Abraham in action yet but would love too. From what I can tell he is a power fighter with decent skills since he did outwork Eastman.I however at this point would have to think since I have seen Sturm in action that Sturm would carry a UD unless Abraham could catch him and test his metal.

This one is tough for me to pick because I have seen Sturm fight and not Abraham.I saw Felix get robbed against DLH.In truth that is his only big fight while Abraham has beaten Eastman and Gardner by decision and Ikeke by ko so his record looks better. All I know is that for this fight to even matter Abraham has to get by Jantuah and Miranda and I wouldn't pick him to get by either but I won't pick against him either.

Sturm wins easily on points...I don't really like Sturm that much but one thing he does well is move, and this is how he wins this fight.....I like Abraham but he is very one dimensional and has stamina problems.....don't get fooled by their records either, Abraham should have lost to Eastman, but of course, germany............

              Sturm wins this UD.

Later date for sure, but like you, I'd love to see it. I think they're negotiating it for this fall, though I forget exactly where I heard that.

highlights are good, but that's all they are, highlights....Sturm wins this with relative ease due to his superior conditioning and boxing skills....Abraham is good when someone is standing in front, but with Sturm on his bike as usual, this will be easy for Sturm!...and believe it or not, I don't like Sturm at all, but I can't dispute the fact that he is good!
