Comments Thread For: Video: Chris Algieri Puts in Over 30 Minutes of Work

Macau, China - Radio Raheem catches up with undefeated WBO junior welterweight champion Chris Algieri, who put in over 30 minutes of hard work at his media workout. Algieri moved up to a catch-weight of 144-pounds to take on WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao on Saturday night at the Venetian, which is going to be carried as an HBO Pay-Per-View main event. Algieri plans to use timing to counter the advantage in speed of Pacquiao, who is gunning to secure his first knockout victory since he knocked out Miguel Cotto in 2009. [Click Here To Read More]

He's not featherfisted, he's featherhanded. Yet to some extent it's due to the drain. Shame on Provo and Pac, if they will have problems with him in the future..

It's weird, his footwork and coordination for punching should translate to power...

but he forgets to extend fully and punch THROUGH his target. This allows him to bring his hands back fast but then you lose snap on all your punches. He should mix up more between fully extending and committing and not committing to change it up.

Algieri is looking good and ready .......... You can see that he will be trying to use his reach/height advantage and foot movement. Lot's of jabs and double jabs .... He is looking sharp!
