    Algieri vs a Southpaw

Has Algieri faced any Southpaws in his pro boxing career?

Having said that. Pac's one of the best and most unique southpaws ever so really he could have sparred a hundred southpaws leading up to the fight nothing is going to prepare him for pacman.

You don't think Algieri's jab and high punch output will be problems for Pacquiao?

Oh I know it will. And then you add his height and cardio. I believe this will be a very tough fight for pac to look good against or even win. And I'm a big pac fan but I'm just being real. I don't understand how people think pac's just going to run over algieri.

Algieri physical tools and style would give anyone a problem at 147 or 140 lbs. If algieri had power he would be scary lol.

Pacquiao has fought Fighters bigger than him. He has not fought any boxers that are bigger than him.

Agree. As a pacfan I'm worried his punches will fall short most of the time because of algieri's height/reach advantage and movement.

There are a lot more easier fights than this at GBP stable with greater reward to be honest.

Kell Brook's reach gave shawn porter lots of problems.

I do expect him to make Manny look bad but he isn't gonna win and it's more down to his technique, not even lack of punching power really. Algieri doesn't have that quick straight right hand that he can bring back right away. His jab isn't good enough either, not enough snap and he likes to leave it out there. The best jab to use against Pacquiao is single jabs with a good amount of snap behind it, Algieri doesn't possess that. As for height and reach, Algieri likes to lean in, this is why Provodnikov caught him with good shots every round. Don't expect to see Pacquiao lose many rounds, if any.

Pacquiao will look godawful at times, I see a lot of lunging in and missing but he'll come out victorious.

If Pac can cut the ring off effectively it'll be much easier for him and his right hook.

Algeiri just leaves his left hand hanging while in rhythm, and I think Pac will be able to time his repetitive pitter pat jabs with hooks over the top because Algieri will bring his left back low.
