I am very interested in this fight. Rafael's blog says it will be on showtime, making it the first interesting showtime fight in forever. I really don't think the winner will fight Vlad, however. Both King and Haymon like to hold on to those titles and use them as leverage...and Vlad would take that title away quickly against either guy.

I think so too but I also wouldnt be shocked if wilder landed one of those long right hand bombs early if stiverne gets too lazy in there

Wilder is going to make Bermane Stiverne look like Audley Harrison. I would pick Malik Scott against Bermane Stiverne.

Good fight to start the year off. I hope Wilder wins but I think Stiverne is going to knock him out.

It's likely that Bryant Jennings will face the winner of Wilder/Stiverne, since he earned the mandatory shot by winning the eliminator bout against Perez.

Briggs' best route is to fight someone like Charr or Lucas Browne - guys that have high rankings in the WBC but who are not particularly skilled.

I'm glad it's on at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. I hope Showtime or HBO will pick it up.

I have Wilder by KO. I know Wilders chin is questionable (like Wladimir's) but Wilder hits so hard and is so dangerous he gets his opponent out quick.

People might question Wilder's ability to go 12 rounds but IMO, like GGG, I don't think he will ever have to go the full 12 rounds in his career. Maybe once or twice most.

As to the fight, my gut tells me that Stiverne will put a boxing lesson on and KO the much less experienced fighter.

I'm rooting for Wilder doe. Stiverne is with Don King. Don King keeps his fighters inactive and is incredibly difficult to deal with. For boxing sake, it's best if Wilder wins. Wilder will defend the title and possibly unify with Wladimir Klitschko in late 2015.

Best case scenario > Wilder beats Stiverne > Wilder beats Jennings > Wilder faces Wlad late 2015 in a world title unifier

It will be Showtime. After all, it's Al Haymon we are talking about here. GBP never left Showtime. They are just doing shows with Multiple networks now. They aren't exclusive anymore.
