Nathan Cleverly, with close friend and hall of famer Joe Calzaghe watching on, showed off his speed as he took part in a media day for Saturday's anticipated grudge match with Tony Bellew in Liverpool. They first squared off in 2011, at light heavyweight, where Cleverly retained his WBO championship with a close majority decision. Now they are both fighting 25-pounds north, at cruiserweight, and promoted by Eddie Hearn of Matchroom. The first fight was staged by Frank Warren, who promoted both of the fighters at that time. What's funny is that I guarantee that Joe, with no training camp could beat either one of these clowns right now.

Never been a Calzaghe fan but I gotta call it honestly and if he came back today he would whup Kovalev (one of my favorite fighters) and Stevenson. He's that good. Hate to say that but I have to be honest, yeah he'd beat them up.

A lot of us guys in the states did not really get to see Calzaghe much throughout his career, we just really saw the fights against Lacy, Kessler, Hopkins and Jones.

I'm gonna be honest ive studied Calzaghe since then. This may not be popular but I'm gonna say it. He was just as good as Roy Jones, James Toney, Bernard Hopkins, any of those guys. There i said it. Let the hate begin....whatever it's true and I think a lot of American fans don't know how good Eubank and Benn were, their first fight is one of my favorite fights....but man Calzaghe was on another level, honestly never seen a guy with his talents, hate all you want.

most people only saw those fights because he didn't fight anyone else his entire career. why would they waste their time when he's fighting mger mtchkian, tocker pudwill, will mcintyre, kabary salem, etc...

he was outboxed by robin reid so yeah its hard to see his greatness. a close win over kessler, a win over supermiddleweight berto(lacy), and a loss against hopkins? i don't see it. also he received a ton of gift stoppages, ducked lots of guys, and made excuses: scared of flying?, "I don't want tough fights, I just want big money." ducked glen johnson, pavlik to fight jones, and countless others.
