The only people I see saying this fight is a cherry pick are the Flowmos and racially driven fan boys.

They mad because Floyd got called a cherry picker for fighting a tailormade flat foot fighter with pillow gloves twice and struggled with him, Floyd got exposed as a fraud in that fight, devon alexander master classed Maidana.

Cherry picking means facing an opponent with no possible advantage over you, Maidana only had a punchers shot on paper versus Floyd, he was tailormade for Floyd.

Algieri is a high risk low reward fight, not a cherry pick, he has the majority of advantages except for experience and power. Chris has the height, reach, size, youth advantage on his side and has comparable foot speed and movement. he beat Ruslan who was going to fight Pac next, similar to how Zahir out boxed Morales but this time Pac fights the winner in Algieir.

I would agree with you that this fight could be described as "high-risk, low-reward," and not a "cherry-pick," UNTIL you called Maidana (33-3 w/ 31 KOs and the WBA WW Champion) a "cherry-pick." That is where I find you to be extremely hypocritical. If the WBA Champ, coming off 4 wins (3 by KO) in the WW division is a "cherry-pick," then the WBO Jr. WW Champ (only 20 fights and 8 KOs) coming off a win at Jr. WW, and now fighting in his 1st fight at WW, has to be a cherry-pick also. You can't have it both ways.

Tim, please. I get HBO is paying you so you have to help promote fight. But don't sacrifice your credibility-it will make it harder to get another TV job should HBO let you go.

I disagree based on Manny's experience and Algieiri's lack of it. If algieiri were in with any other ww, you and others wouldn't be over exaggerating his strengths. you'd also be more honest about how his lack of experience would be a weakness against one of the 2 or 3 top boxers in the world.

This is a easy fight for manny and its intended to be, in order for him to get his fans onboard to call for Floyd, they know its supposed to be a showcase for manny to look good, but manny looks shop-worn and old so if he looses his fans can say algieri is like tommy hearns and they told you so....But algieri is not a ko artist and they are not gonna give him a decision. this is taylor-made for Manny, I hope he looses (i think he's a low life cheater on par with margacheato) thats why.

And I haven't said anything to hype chris or pac up. I have been honest with my opinions on both guys. U pointed out all the disadvantage chris has but u failed to mention that pac is not the same guy he once was. So now pac doesn't have problems with boxers anymore so I guess the floyd fight will be a lot closer now then? lol

funny how a lot of sports/boxing commentators and writers, world class professional boxers and trainers all say algieri is a very good tough opponent but all these so called "boxing experts" on nsb say that he is some sort of salka level opponent.

algieri - undefeated, young, hungry, prime, high IQ boxing skills, world champion, #3 ranked 140lber, rocky story, charismatic, great smile, magnetic personality, well groomed, etc.
