Worst chins in todays boxing.

Amir Khan is an obvious one. Idk who said this but they said it best "Amir Khan is always one punch from getting very hurt or KO'd"
I wouldn't Call Sergio Martinez chin great but he used to have the legs to avoid those flush shots.Comment

Khan takes ages to get his legs back after he's caught. Rather than recovering in 5-10 seconds his legs are like jelly for several minutes.
It's hard to think of world level guys who have bad chins, because as others have said you need a good chin to be there in the first place.Comment

Gamboa chin is pretty bad and it's much worst since he fights at 135 with boxers who are naturally larger then him.
Every time he gets hit flush his eyes roll into the back of his head or gloss over.Comment

Nah man thats cause he gets hit as clean as possible everytime he gets hit, and he never freaken puts his hands up.Comment

Well if your opponents are too bad to hit you, it's not showing.
Wlad doesn't have a good chin at all. He was wobbled by Wach, wobbled by Haye and wobbled by a Poolev jab.
Those are about the only 3 times he's been hit in the last ten years, other than when he hit the canvas 3 times against Peter.
He does have a very good defence though, and the best chin is the one that doesn't get hit.Comment

That could be the reason but I remember guys like Naseem Hamed who fought with his hands down, and got hit flush and dropped several times but he never looked seriously hurt.
But every time Gamboa gets hit it looks like he just seen the light. Even in his last fight against Oco, he looked very uncomfortable getting hit.Comment

Why is Wlad the reason the heavyweight division is the worst in history if indeed it is? He is a great champion who always fights the highest rated challengers and easily beats them almost always by KO. If no other heavyweight can put up a good fight how does that make him the bad guy. When it comes to defending his title against the very best challengers he might be the best champion in boxing today. Shame on you Wlad for fighting and knocking out all the best heavyweights. Everything bad about the heavyweights is clearly your fault.Comment

Wlad's chin is his weakest link but I don't think it is that weak or he would have been KOed more often than he has. He came back from three knock downs to win in his fight with hard punching Peters and he could not have done that if he had a glass jaw. Steward helped him perfected a style that protects his chin. It's up to the referees to inforce the rules if he is holding too much. I am sure guys that don't like him would like him to drop his hands and give his opponents free shots. At the championship level I think Khan's chin is no better than Wlad's and he does not protect it as well.Comment
