Multiple sources with knowledge of the details have confirmed to BoxingScene.com that WBO junior middleweight champion Demetrius Andrade (21-0, 14KOs) will not defend his title against Jermell Charlo (24-0, 11KOs) on Showtime's December 13th event at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Based on what BoxingScene was told, there were some financial details that had to be worked out with Andrade, and the champion's wife is going to give birth around that time period and he wanted to be by her side.

And forgive me for being harsh, but this is sort of a lame excuse to give fans about him wanting to be with his wife.
