Two I can think of off the top of my head would be round Round 8 of the Pacquiao vs De La Hoya fight. Manny layed a beat down in that round, beat him up in the corner for like the last 30 seconds of the round and came very close to putting him on his ass.
I could actually think of a possible 10-7 round in the De la Hoya vs Ike Quartey fight. In round 12 Del a Hoya dropped Quartey early in the round, that would make it 10-8 but then he unleashed a minute and a half flurry on Quartey, who threw very few punches in return. Quartey amazingly survived the round but I wouldn't argue with any who gave De La Hoya an extra point for that last stand, hence the possible 10-7 round.Comment

The only 3 rounds that I know of that have officially been scored as 10-8 rounds are the following (off of the top of my head):
Mayweather Gatti- round 6 (last round before Gatti was not allowed to come out for the next round)
De la Hoya Pacquiao- round 7 (this was probably the worst of the three I'm mentioning here. Too many shots, quick succession, way too little punches thrown by DLH and he landed in single digits)
Khan Maidana- round 10 (overhand right stuns Amir Khan for a full two minutes and Maidana proceeds to whip him ALL AROUND THE RING)
Psssssshhhh...and you call yourselves boxing fans.
"True fans know rounds"...somebody oughta' make that a catchphrase on a t-shirt. lolLast edited by TintaBoricua; 11-16-2014, 08:30 PM.Comment
