HBO signed a 3-fight deal with Wlad?

I just heard British commentators saying HBO signed Wlad to a 3 fight deal.... Does anybody have details of this reported deal? I never heard of it until now and I didn't see anything posted on the front page.

I was thinking the Wlad-Pulev fight was just a single fight telecast.

Surely this means the winner of Stiverne-Wilder will have to step up and fight Wlad? (get a big payday to do so)

Fat Dan referenced it, so it's probably true which means Jennings is probably next.

Klitschko's manager already ruled out a fight in the US so HBO won't be paying much for afternoon broadcasts/tape delays.

I don't think they'd really have a say in opponents though since German T.V would still be the main carrier and they just picked up the broadcasting rights for his fights.

I thought it would've been Jennings in NY, but looking like Germany.

I hope so. That would be the best possible voluntary defense out there. Fury-Chisora would be a mandatory opponent I think so Jennings would be great next and then HOPEFULLY unification with Stiverne-Wilder.

Then if Wlad wins both of those, Chisora-Fury would be great and that would be a HELL of a streak of fights for Wlad.

          Povetkin-Pulev-Jennings-Stiverne/Wilder-Chisora/Fury.

Well HBO wouldn't have the "final say" in an opponent either way. But if they did sign him to a 3-fight deal then I reckon his next fight in March would be broadcasted on HBO, regarldess of opponent

Yeah Jennings in NY at MSG would be great. I saw a bunch of Jennings fans at MSG for the Golovkin-Geale event and the crowd was going crazy for him, even though the fight kinda stunk.

But why wouldn't Jennings go to Germany? The judges are and have been great in Germany for the last year or so and he would get his biggest payday and biggest possible reward.

Nah,saying Jennings in Germany instead of NYC.

Who knows if he takes it though. WBC champ has to make 2 defenses in a row, he's in line next.

Wlad offers more belts, money and notoriety though

Yeah but if the winner of Stiverne-Wilder chose to unify with Wlad right after that fight.... wouldn't that be first in line? Before Jenning's mandatory shot

                  They should...not like they're getting a voluntary.

I'll call either guy a chicken shit for not fighting Wlad next.

If he wants that fourth belt this would be a really dumb decision. If Wilder wins against Stiverne (It's not sure that he will but if...) than he won't fight onHBO since he is a Haymon fighter and that would mean that Wlad can't collect that fourth belt. But if Wilder wins he won't fight Wladimir either ways... Haymon wouldn't let him I guess. Based on Wilder management and opponents so far he will be protected evenif he beats Stiverne and collects the WBC belt. Sometimes he will fight against credible opponents when the WBC decides that they sanction him a fight wih a game mandatory challenger.
