Alamodome, San Antonio, Texas - Later tonight undefeated super middleweight Gilberto Ramirez faces Fulgencio Zuniga in the main event of an HBO Latino broadcast. Two time Mexican Olympian Oscar Valdez faces Alberto Garza in the televised co-feature.

In the evening's opening fight, Janiel Rivera (12-2-1) and Felipe Rivas (15-16-4) battled to a split draw. Rivera was attempting to win his third fight in a row since coming up short against former WBC junior flyweight champion Adrian Hernandez. Rivas took the fight to Rivera and proved to be a game opponent. The final tallies were 79-73 for Rivas, 77-75 for Rivera and 76-76. Rivera is promoted by Miguel Cotto.

The calling card of Zuniga is durability and it was on display he took plenty didn't go down or look badly hurt , stoppage was fine though he wasn't in it.

Good to see Ramirez go the rounds maintain the workrate.

What's not to be intrigued/excited about power volume puncher especially this high of weight.

His lack of power and quickness of any kind will have him taking a severe beating down the road. He has to be matched very carefully from this point out.
