So much for the folks who claim Vladimir only has his 1-2 to rely on. His left hook is pure killer. Great performance tonight, bring on some of the young guns next!

Wlad = #1 pound for pound...

I predicted the left hook would be the weapon (see my other posts)

Wlad invoked the Mayweather-Maidana 2 style...except Wlad actually went for the KO and got it...

I get the feeling Wlad could have ended the fight any moment he wanted, but after dropping him twice in the first round he stuck his business hat on and carried him into the later rounds. His left hook couldn't miss and dropped him every time!

Pulev was bloody awful, took forever to reset with his hands down inviting Wlad in. Literally no head movement and his only defence was to push Wlad back when he tried to punch him instead of blocking wtf. His trainer should super glue his right hand to his face bc he didnt use it anyway.

It's not an excuse, I had no dog in that fight, it's the truth, they are simply to big for the opposition. Fury and Wilder are bums, they both suck.

LOL are you really this clueless? Go check Pulev's height and weight.. and tell me it was about size... Lame fans always make a big deal about size.. and superficial traits... Wlad is smarter, has a better jab, and is just a way better boxer and harder puncher..

So you're basically admitting then that it isn't all size but skill. Thank you.

So I realize that people make excuses and take credit away from boxers for their wins...UNLESS... it's one of their "favorite fighters" or they "like" the fighter...

                  Pretty lame...

                  Wlad's too big...
                  Pulev is a bum...
Before the fight though, I've heard and read different...

Wlad was less of a favorite going into this fight by a lot than Mayweather was going against Maidana and he's pound for pound #1... smh

I disagree with your premise. Pulev was not awful. His style actually presented problems to Wlad and it was Wlad who was forced to adjust and throw different punches (i.e. Jab to the midsection as opposed to his usual jabbing down at his opponent. Lead hook, bouncing around on his feet more etc,.).

Standing upright actually worked for Pulev and he had punches that were getting to Wlad but it was Wlad who deserves the credit for adjusting. This is what you should be focusing on rather than finding an excuse to pick away at his opponents flaws. The guy was undefeated after all.

I'm not trying to discredit Wlad by picking at Pulev, Wlad is far superior to Pulev and Pulev has soundly beaten some good heavyweights. But the only thing he did in this fight was rabbit punch constantly and he was defending like he did in all his previous bouts against smaller fighters by using his long arms to push back Wlad as he punched but obviously Wlad's reach is the same if not longer so the bombs landed nearly every time
