Any of the next 5 middleweights in the ranking would beat him relatively easily. He needs to vacate and move down in weight if he wants to win another fight. He doesn't last 5 rounds with Canelo, Golovkin would obliterate him(size), Murray wins by UD. I'm curious as to what Cottos next move may be? I doubt he fight Canelo, or any true middleweight for that matter.
