OK but why did Kovalev not get KTFO by Boone and Adonis did?

lol,,,,who gives a crap what happened in the ams. the pro's is a whole new game. the fact is stevenson was stopped in the pros by a fighter kovalev beat. I cant see how anyone can favor stevenson over kovalev. kovalev has much more variety in his punches. more power and takes the better punch. the only thing they maybe even on is hand speed. kovalev is better in every other areaComment

The path forward is pretty clear here
-Stevenson has his fight in December
-Stevenson vs Pascal (WBC mandatory) in April 2015 [SHO]
-Kovalev vs. Mohammedi (IBF mandatory) in March/April 2015 [HBO]
Stevenson(c) vs Kovalev(c) in MON/Kovalev(c) vs Stevenson(c) in Vegas or AC happens in the late summer/early fall as an HBO/SHO PPV, or possibly ends up as one of the rumored primetime NBC broadcasts.
[Haymon has the TV time alloted, and GYM/Main Events can negotiate the parameters for the deal, likely giving up some share of the NBC TV rights money to lock in the Canadian TV rights].
If both guys impress in their spring performances, the fight is bigger than the $2m-$3m that HBO is likely to offer the camps to air the fight.
Stevenson and Kovalev should both earn "$1m+share of other revenue" paydays for the fight.Comment

Seriously, wouldn't Boone indicate who has a better chin since both have fought him? One got KTFO the other didnt. Why is that?Comment

Maybe. Needs to "show and prove", though. If his next fight draws over 1.2m (to confirm that the folks that tuned in for Hopkins are ready to come back and watch Kovalev).
If those numbers are good, it'll be a PPV fight; could even play off of subtle hints toward the whole "US vs Russia" tensions outside of boxing, with Ward being the last American Olympic gold medalist in boxing.
Have the MGM Grand get involved with it, and you just might have the makings of a really special event.Comment
