With Cotto, will be 50% of his last 8 opponents that were coming off an injury if he fights Canelo. Wouldn't surprise me if Cotto punches a guy in a wheelchair one day or calls out Paul Williams finally since he's in a wheelchair.
If a guy gets in the ring to fight, he is healthy enough to participate. It doesn't matter if he suffered an injury in his last fight or if he spent the last year on the shelf with an injury. If he is unable or unwilling to fight due to an injury, such as Tyson Fury withdrawing from his last fight because his, ahem, trainer was sick, he won't get in the ring. If he gets in the ring he is ready to go and nothing else matters.

Wow. I see Alvarez is willing to do anything to justify pulling out of the Clottey fight with a fake injury to avoid risking a loss before he has a chance to fight Cotto.

logic doesn't exist in the minds of some of these people. cotto must have boxing shook daddy because apparently, he's forcing injured guys to fight and getting away with it. that's power right there.

The more I think about this fight, the more I'm turned off to it. Canelo is going to steam roll Cotto. I want GGG.
