so what is the true worth of a world title belt and out of the WBC//WBA//IBF//WBO what title is worth having and what title aint worth the fake gold and leather that its made with.

None of the belts are worth any more than the others. I think the IBF is the least corrupt of the 4, but that's like picking the best smelling turd of the pile your dog just plopped out.

      They're all good.

I think the WBO is lesser than the others cause it took so long to take hold.

Historical order would probably be a good way of indicating too.

I only chose WBC nominally because for awhile it seemed the WBC champ was more synonymous with the best HW in the world for a fair while there. But that's just happenstance really.

That may have been the case 8-10 years ago but now the WBO is the exact same as the other three.

The man makes the belt, not the other way around.

They are just pieces. Pieces of the title. While we are stuck with just pieces, We have to say the fighter makes the belt, it is not the belt that makes the fighter.

If you were to poll the fighters, the WBC title would win for certain. To me they are as good as the fighter holding it.

They all have their own bias be it national or promotional. WBC is probably the most respected and WBO the least, but the difference is more insignificant now than ever. They're all more or less then same, that's why unifying is important.

the WBC is considered the most prestigious, it's also considered the most corrupt. it's president is the same man who admittedly stripped bradley for unifying, not for choosing to unify over taking a mandatory. he was due a voluntary, but since he chose that voluntary to be another titleholder he was stripped. "he has to choose which organization he wants to represent" sulaiman said, when bradley didnt vacate the other belt (wbo i think) the wbc promptly stripped him. its also the same guy who stripped martinez of the wbc belt and handed it to his godson, JCC jr.

the wbo are known for picking terrible mandatory's so that over protected big money earners can keep making big money and cut the wbo a big ol' slice without risking anybodies funds drying out as the result of actual competition.

the ibf were in a major scandal around 10-15 years ago when its then president was caught on tape taking bribes to move fighters up the rankings.

the wba may be worst of all with their champions, super champions, interim champions, champions in recess, weekend champions, bald champions, between 28 and 28 3/4 champions, blue shoe wearing champions etc etc..

long story short the title itself is irrelevant, its who the "champion" in question beat to win it that matters. everyone knows rigo is the 122lb champion of the world for example, he beat the top guy out there and earned the lineal crown. he wants to fight the title holders and they refuse to fight him, they can be covered in belts from head to toe (although in fairness that doesnt require a whole lot at 122 lbs) until someone beats RiGOD or he moves up or retires he is the man.
