I don't think he's in love with his power like Nonito, Nonito just fell in love with his hook and beat up midgets nearly all his career. Take away his left hook and he's average at best.

Verdejo is patient and isn't looking for 1 punch.
Verdejo may be patient. But you know what other PR Fighter fell in love with one of his punches. Trinidad. He loved his left hook. I believe he is susceptible to doing something similar. A lot of these fighters seem to be in love with certain punches. Klitschko is in love with his jab because it protects his chin, but that won't help him when he steps in the ring with Shannon Briggs.

No wayyyy lol. Wait till Felix turns 25 and see what he's looking like then. He's the goods, You can see it. Kid has everything. Break him down on film you will see. No way Garcia is closer to Tito than Verdejo has an already bigger following in Puerto Rico than him. 3G,spence and Felix are the ones I put my money on.

GGG is the future after Mayweather and Pacquiao are gone. He will be the Cash Cow. Ward will beat him though. Spence will be a star and might go down as one of the greatest to ever do it. Now verdejo, I just don't know.

I think Felix Verdejo is a hell of a talent (even more than Spence JR) I don't know what you are talking about with "theirs something off about him." He's looked extremely impressive in most of his fights and has great power, speed, range and timing...It's to early to anoint him anything yet, but I see him becoming a big star. He has amazing potential.

Now Anthony Joshua on the other hand is someone who I think "something is off with him."

Saw him on the undercard of Cotto and followed him after that. Looks good in his learning fights.
He has a lot of pressure put on him and is still learning. I think Orlando would be too strong for him now like Luis Carlos Abregu was for Thomas Dulorme.
Would be interesting to see how good he can be as like Tito, hes always got a smile on his face.

Arum has tested Salido twice with his top prospects and ce up short both times. Mikey and Gamboa did get it done though.

Misleading title, Verdejo is not asking for a Siri clash at this stage in his career. I actually saw the interview and he was asked various time about Salido, he smiled and said that he understood why people keep bringing Salido's name but that he still learning and developing that if Salido was a champion at the time he's ready he'll be up to the challenge, that he has mad respect for mexican fighters, that he considers them true warriors very tough fighters. Also, that he's aware of PR/MX rivarly and that he's up to be part of this rivarly but that is nothing personal, just part of the sport.

This kid is looking good, I think is time to start putting him with better opposition, fighters that rough him up, that makes him fight out of his comfort zone, but he does have a bright future, solid boxing skills, range, smarts, power, the only things unknown yet are if he has a chin and if he can adapt in fights.
