No. Margarito got hit flush 1000 times each fight. He rarely rolled with punches he just ate them head on. Hopkins has a great chin but has an even better defense. He rarely get's hit flush. He rolls with every punch and so most punches only glance/bounce off his big ass alien head.Comment

bernard hopkins has great defense. he masters distance, timing, slipping. when he can't get out of the wya, he generally takes a lot of the steam off of shots by rolling with them.
margarito was a freaking punching bag. dude's idea of defense was blocking shots with his face.Comment

Margarito has an iron chin, Mosley had to basically fatigue Margarito to put him down and Margo wasn't even knocked down with a legit drop it was accumulation of shots and Margo body fatigued or gave out from the punishment that Mosley threw on him. Mosley will even tell you MArgo chin is insane.
B hop has a great chin as well, he is more of a Bradley type, extreme conditioning and clean living is able to help him absorb shots but he has great recovery, a few times Hopkins gets dropped by hard shots he bounces back up and recovers well.
But B hop has an underrated chin but his recovery is insane, freakish recovery and ability to maintain balance after being hurt.
Margarito though is on another level, him and Brandon Rios have those iron chin and ability to eat flush power shots like candy.
Only reason I won't put B hops chin at the level of Margarito is B hop is a defensive guy who rarely got hit, Margarito gets hit in every single fight with flush power shots and thousands more than B hop has and takes them like candy.Comment

Go watch Marg. vs Cotto/Pacqauio/Mosley again.......That guy's chin was insane....Seen him laugh flush overhand rights/hooks off like they were nothing....Remb. That overhand right Mosley hit him with at the end of the round...His head snapped back and he laughed and walked back to the corner...smhComment

cotto - margarito 1 is still the best display of chin that i've ever seen in a live boxing match.
not only did he take the shots, he smiled and turned the heat up in constancy. i've never seen anythign like that. if you go back to the commentary from experts and ringsiders after the fight, that was what they were talking about. they were dumbfounded by the chin of margarito. many were calling it the best chin they'd seen.
cotto, especially at WW, could punch. combinations, hard uppercuts, left hooks to finish off after the right hand, dude was a nice offensive fighter in his prime. margarito walked right through everything. shots would land flush on his chin, and he'd take two steps forward and land a body shot. scary.
margarito is blind in one eye, by all accounts. robert garcia basically sent him out to die against manny. he'll be hard pressed to have his faculties intact late in his life.Comment

Anyone seen Margarito seriously hurt?
Mosley fight was such out of his ordinary, so outside his pattern that I tend to exclude it. Even his chin was off that high (we know why but that's not the point here)
Rios is fine but has bee hurt consistently.
