I was mad at Provo and his promoter for picking Castillo until I read this interview: http://ucnlive.com/dilemma/

Pelullo basically says they offered the fight to Herrera, Judah and other decent opponents and were willing to pay 500K, but everyone rejected it. So they had to choose between a lesser known second rater and a shot Castillo. Pelullo recommended the former, but the Russians decided to go with the name guy.

Provo is the last person to blame here.

Herrera said that was a lie and he was offered substantially less. Plus, there are always much better opponents than Jose Luis Castillo in 2014 out there.

Provo a short average overrated robot

Why all the hype for Provo who isn't that good and is a slow plodding boxer who takes abuse well but beating Average Alvarado and Bald bradley isn't much. Letting a poor average dance queen ballerina in Chrissie Algieri last isn't much of a statement. Face the facts Provo isn't anything more than an average little pudgy fat faced Russian who takes punishment good.
