There is a supposedly Super Bowl card that will be carried by NBC. I think the week after tje Super Bowl or right after the Super Bowl.

Could we see a card with one of these match-ups:

Steverne vs. Wilder for WBC strap
Danny Garcia vs. Lamont Peterson for WBC/WBA/IBF straps
Maidana vs. Broner II or Broner vs. Matthssye
Leo Santa Cruz vs Rigo
Robert Guerrero vs Shawn Porter

**** that **** man, boxing could do wonders with those matchups on cable TV. Hell, Leonard-Hearns was done on a Wednesday and reports say damn near 300 million people worldwide were able to see it.

Leonard/Hearns was on closed-circuit television, the predecessor to PPV. There damn sure weren't this many people who watched this fight.

However, I agree with you that seeing any of these fights on cable television would do wonders for the sport of boxing.

I would think Strivene vs. Wilder is a great opening for Al Haymon's first NBC card.

Ah true, I misread my information. But by the time the fight was later rebroadcasted, nearly 300 million people reportedly were able to view it.

I believe it sold 1.5million on closed-circuit/PPV in the US/Canada alone.
