    DIVISIONAL RANKINGS
    Results through Nov. 10.

    LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHTS (175 POUNDS)
    1. Adonis Stevenson (24-1)
    2. Sergey Kovalev (26-0-1)

    MIDDLEWEIGHTS (160 POUNDS)
    1. Miguel Cotto (39-4)
    2. Gennady Golovkin (31-0)

Anyone who argues against the legitimacy of the lineal title needs to STFU.
their rankings for most divisions are pretty good, there is a great case for GGG as numero uno at MW and a half decent case for Kov but the fact is Stevenson has beaten consistently better opposition and mostly in very impressive fashion. Kovalev, in his biggest fight went by a wide but really uncomfortable decision. A ko would have put him in the top spot in my eyes.

Why is number two in a decent division for a guy who has barely fought world ranked opponents?

There is a case for Golovkin as the #1 contender behind the champion...

Consistently better comp? Its very similar, if anything Kovalevs might be slightly better

Hard to decipher what this last paragraph means

Who would you favor if Cotto and Golovkin fought?

Everyone recognizes Golovkin as the best MW in the world.

Cotto in the top ten P4P is a joke. Lol. I know that's another subject but still.

What consistently better opposition? Stevenson has Dawson, that's about it. Fonfara is good, but he's not consistently better opposition than what Kovalev has fought.

Nobody looks at boxing lists but hardcore fans. It's not like casuals look at these lists and get fooled, so what's your excuse?

who, apart from Hops who I eluded to in my previous post, is better on Kovs resume?

                  Dawson the man = destroyed
                  Cloud former titlist = humiliated
Bellew legitimate no. 1 contender = annihilated
Fonfara top 10 LHW who I told ppl before the bout should not be underestimated = won a wide points decision

                  Kovalevs best wins -
                  Caperwho?
                  Agnew...lol
                  Sillakh has been hypejob
Cleverly decent win over a titlist
                  Campillo, tough guy at LHW

Kovalev did a job on them all but I'd probably only label Cleverly borderlien world class and maybe throw Campillo up there?
Kovalev, on his biggest night didn't get the KO, Stevenson did, on the guy who beat the guy.

                  Stevenson better resume.

                    Cleverly > Bellew
                    Campillo > Cloud
Dawson > Hopkins, however Dawson coming off destructive loss

Pretty even, plus Stevenson struggled with no mark Fonfata, got dropped.

Being the Lineal champion is part of boxing history. Just because you think A will beat B doesn't mean one goes above the other. The Lineal camp has earnt that status. It's just unfortunate that once they get in to that position these modern day boxers actively duck the hardest competition.
