It seems that Pascal is not used to winning the big one. I can't imagine an upset here.

Kovalev looked pretty intimidated by Hopkins in all the pre-fight stuff...But who cares? None of that stuff ever matters once the fight happens...Some people are more aggressive personality wise than others, but it's irrelevant in terms of the actual fight....Once the fight came all Hopkins aggressive body language meant nothing.....Kovalev is clearly a shy person...

Cotto looked intimidated by Sergio during all that pre fight stuff aswell yet Cotto made Sergio do the stanky leg all around the ring from the 1st round on...

Pascal seems to be much less "in your face" personality wise than Hopkins...So that's probably why Kovalev wasn't as intimidated....But once again it means nothing come fight time...

We have seen it 100x's of times before where the guy with the "worse" body language whoops the other guys ass and vice verse....It doesn't mean anything at all....What matters is who is the better fighter....

People look way to much into boxing....The reality is it's much less complicated....The better fighter usually wins period end of discussion....Things like "confidence and body language" don't mean much at all.....There have been thousands of fighters with every bit as much self confidence as Ali/Floyd who got there ass kicked all the time and have 20-10 records....Floyd/Ali are the best because they are the best fighters...they could have been very shy and non-confrontational personality wise and they still would have been the best fighters...

I don't think that was directed to Pascal as he is in the picture at the back left, it was his crew or fans I think.

Anyway, Kovalev said this today about Beterbiev, I don't really know how to interpret it but:

In regards to Beterbiev, Kovalev said, “Right now he’s nobody. And he will be nobody for later.”

Klimas quickly added, “He will need to go a long way to reach where Sergey is at now.”

Simply sounds like they're saying he's not on Sergey's stage at this point, and he's got a way to go before he gets there.

Lol... trying so hard to find something negative to say. Sergey respects the hell out of Hopkins due to his legendary status in the ring, nothing to do with being "intimidated".

Pascal is a loud goof who clearly rubs Sergey the wrong way. Jean's put his hands on Sergey in several press conferences to which Sergey didn't appreciate at all. Pascal is getting wrecked.

I don't know why, I just have a gut feeling Pascal takes it. Does anyone want to give me 3:1 odds? My 1 quad vs. your 3 quad. I got Pascal. Let me know.

according to this site, Kovalev is slower, but more aggressive and his most used combination is the jab-cross-jab.

Kovalev and beterbiv have some bad blood?

I would think the Russians would be united.

Also what was Kovalev doing in that pic?
