Who will be remembered as the greater fighter: Bernard Hopkins or Floyd Mayweather?

I think Bernard Hopkins had a greater career than Floyd Mayweather.

He fought the best, while Floyd avoided many of the better boxers in and around his division.

Floyd avoided Williams, Margarito, prime Mosley, Morales, prime De La Hoya, Casamayor, Tszyu, Forrest and of course Pacquiao.

I remember Hopkins once offered to fight a heavyweight Oleg Maskaev when Oleg had the WBC title.

Hopkins will be remembered as greater because he lost every round to a prime LHW at 49 years old.

Bhop has done more. Accomplished more. Showed heart. Suffered adversity and prevailed. Had ups and downs and took on dangerous opponents despite the chance of losing. Bhop is no coward. Floyd on the other hand is!

For me it's Hopkins but I wouldn't argue with anyone who sees it the other way.

This thread was pointless....floyd's undefeated record dont compare to hopkins fighting hall of famers and beating most of them. Apples and oranges

I really dont think anyone who follows Boxing can say Floyd over Bhop. You'd have to be a complete moron to do so.
