I don't think so. Kov looked very good Sat night. Fighting from a distance like that would be difficult for Froch even without the size and power difference. If kov can maintain the discipline and pace in his future fights, he will be very difficult to defeat.

I've spoken about the 12th, in fact, I also said that if Kovalev had fought like that in the 4th or 5th, he would have stopped Bhop but for whatever reason, he seemed to carry Bhop or maybe even a 50 year old man's movement was too much for him, if it's the latter, then it doesn't bode well for Kovalev's future.

Not sure Froch even beats Bhop.

Carl is just easier to hit than Bhop. Kovalev clearly hits a ton harder than Groves.

This does not even well for Froch

Froch has a chance against literally anyone. Technically, he sucks, but he's weird enough, tough enough and hits hard enough to has a chance against anyone in the sport including HWs.

I still have to pick Kovalev though.
That's what I'm saying, no idea why people are so negative about this fight, it's easily one of the best fights to be made in boxing right now.

Forget the 12th, it was quite obvious a few of Bhops right hands got through and pushed Kovalev back a bit. Maybe you should try and watch the fight yourself without Kovalev's balls in your mouth.

so to say Froch, one of the best fighters on the planet right now has a CHANCE to beat Kovalev is considered hating?

        But he loses.

On the other hand, great adversity encourages great accomplishments.

Froch is a baddass old pro...

        I'd watch it.
That's all boxing needs from it's elite and Froch has given it to us, time and time again. I just want him to do it one more time. Degale, Jr are not as legacy enhancing as Kovalev.

To make up fairy tales about Kovalev being hurt againt Hopkins is definitely hating. To say he did't batter Hopkins is definitely hating. To say Froch is faster than Kovalev is hating.

when did Kovalev batter Hopkins? The 12th? yes. Before that? When excatly? The flash KD? All those rounds Kovalev won by throwing two punch combinations?

Take it how it is, you can put Kovs **** in your mouth and love him up, the fact is, Kovalev should have stopped Hopkins and done what he did in the 12th at least 6 rounds earlier. Did he carry the fight? Show too much respect? Not like the movement on offer? Say what you want. Yes KOvalev won, imo all 12 rounds but he did not batter Hopkins.

Maybe you should look up the definition of the word.

Jeeez, all you ethnic fans aren't even fight fans

Ethnic fan? I'm pretty ****ing far from Russian.

Your post here pretty much eliminates my need to prove you're hating on Kovalev. You summed up my argument pretty well here. Don't know why you hate on Kovalev, but whatevs.

Get real. Froch nearly lost to Groves the first time. Imagine what Kovalev would do. Kovalev holds the advantage in nearly every department at this point. I don't think Froch's chin is that great anymore since it's been tested too many times. Pointless fight for both fighters either way.

Krusher would show Froch no mercy. The only thing Froch has going for him is a good chin and he's never fought at 175 or EVER fought a guy with the power of Kovalev.

Kovalev literally does everything, and I mean EVERYTHING better. Every punch is better, 5x as much power, better boxing skills, footwork, etc.

                    Ridiculous idea, IMO
I have to agree with this. Froch has a 5 percent chanceof beating Kovalev, so if they fought 20 times Kovalev would lose once by KO. And thats all froch has as a chance, a punchers change.

Froch is like Kovalev but worse in every single way. Only power you could argue is similar and even thats debatable.

Froch would be lucky to last 8 rounds imo

You better ask Froch about this one -- the guy is smart, well spoken, straightforward... He would tell exactly how it goes...
