I believe Amir has gradually developed into a smarter Boxer and agree that this would make for an exciting fight nonetheless the arsenal and caliber that he is willing to face may be to much to overcome at this stage -- Maidana; Diaz,Garcia and other Boxers with all-around basic fundamentals and a adequate hook have hurt and stopped Khan there is no doubt Cotto is by far more capable than the aforementioned thus should be considered a heavy favorite.I admire Khan's ambition ( lacking in modern prize fighters) however I think it would be wise to focus his campaign @ welterweight.

What like when pacquiao shouldn't have jumped two weights to fight de la hoya then cotto? Normality is fine, but to be great you have to excel beyond whats normal and thats what Khan wants to do.

There is a reason why he tweeted that, surely it was Cottos camp and Al haymon that may have told him that they were interested, otherwise its a bit of a random tweet.
