There is no legit way to really measure this, but if you take his net worth as somewhat of a barometer then he is up there. He is hugely wealthy and has never really had a marquee fight or pay day to put him on that level. This must mean he has large revenue streams outside of boxing. He has been one of the major poster boys for Reebok since his debut, you only get sponsorship deals like that if you are firstly, very popular, and secondly bringing something to that company in terms of sales on apparel and representing the brand.

Make no mistake - Amir Khan is a major brand, whether any of you like it or not it's a fact.

                  No.

                  I do not.

Khan is not the third most 'popular' boxer in the world.

Unless twitter is the barometer of favor...

I am not dis*****g his 'popularity', especially with young men of a certain persuasion.

But to say he is the third most popular boxer in the world is ****** and unfounded.

His PPV numbers are nothing to shout about, and most boxing fans would place Cotto, Canelo, GGG, Froch (to name a few) before Khan for pure Marque value.

Believe me, he hates it and it eats him up every day that a young man of "a certain persuasion" is that successful and famous.
